KARACHI: The most wanted commander in Lyari Gang War Faisal Pathan is shot dead in Iran. The main commander of the key Lyari Gang War was shot dead in the Iranian port of Chabahar, sources said. Faisal Pathan was a resident of Hazara Colony in Chakibazaar area of Lyari.

In the past, Faisal Pathan was associated with the Rehman Dakait and Baba Ladla groups. Following the deaths of Rehman Dakait and Baba Ladla, he became a part of the Uzir Baloch gang. Following the 2013 Karachi operation, Faisal Pathan left Pakistan and went to Iran.

Sources say Faisal Pathan was charged with committing gruesome crimes such as extortion, target killing and kidnapping for ransom.

According to the sources, Faisal Pathan was allegedly operating the network of gang wars from Iran. His name was also featured in the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Red Book and he had been nominated in various serious cases, including police attacks in Lyari.
