Abdul Aleem Khan Announces Support for Creation of “Hazara Province” in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
ISLAMABAD: Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) President Abdul Aleem Khan has officially declared his support for the establishment of a “Hazara Province” in KPK and that the common man of the country is demanding new provinces for “pure administrative” reasons.
Speaking in this regard, Abdul Aleem Khan pointed out that the demand of Hazara province has been heard in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly since 2010. He welcomed to the fore the vision of major political parties of KP, saying that the IPP is fully with the demand for a separate Hazara province. He further stated that the demand for creation of new administrative units in Punjab and Sindh is also on the rise, highlighting the need for new provinces at the time of rapid population growth.

Khan said his party was also very keen to establish two provinces of South Punjab and Bahawalpur. Establishment of new administrative units is a pressing need to resolve public grievances, he said, urging that this be done not on political considerations or on the basis of making a few “sacrifices.
It is good to have all four provinces into four administrative units,” Khan said, while welcoming positive suggestions in the national interest from any political platform.
He said the prevailing situation in the country today calls for a new working order and that it is high time politicians take responsibility for administrative reforms instead of protecting personal political enclaves. He said that, highlighting the global administrative standards, many countries with smaller population have significantly more provinces than Pakistan. He also reiterated that the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party will remain steadfast in its efforts for new provinces at all the forums.
