PML-N Central Leadership Holds High-Level Meeting Under Nawaz Sharif to Discuss AJK Government Formation
MURREE:The President of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Mian Nawaz Sharif led a valuable meeting of the Central leadership of the party in Murree to plan the future government in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, former Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz and newly elected members of AJK Legislative Assembly of PML-N attended the consultative session.
The meeting was intense in finalization of candidates of the next AJK Prime Minister, sources said. Among other contenders, PML-N AJK President Shah Ghulam Qadir has shown his strong potential, ahead of others like Tariq Farooq, Col. (Retd) Waqar and Raja Farooq Haider. The AJK parliamentary party has reportedly unanimously approved Nawaz Sharif to make the final decision on the premiership.
The Reserved Seats are filled with nominations.
Previously, the list of reserved seats in AJK assembly had been forwarded to Nawaz Sharif for approval.
Women Seats: Maria Iqbal Tarana, Nasira Khan, Maryam Kashmiri, Nithara Abbasi and Sehrish Qamar.
Technocrat’s Seat: Raja Shadab Sikander.
Ulema & Mashaikh Seat: Pir Mazhar Saeed.
Overseas Seat: It is strongly believed that Raja Mohammad Javed will get the last nomination.
