Pakistan Wins Four Medals at ITF Masters World Championship in Lisbon, Aisam-ul-Haq Secures Second Consecutive Mixed Doubles Title
LISBON:The Pakistan team bowled out four medals at the ongoing ITF Masters World Championship in Lisbon, Portugal, including the ‘champions’ title, which was defended triumphantly by veteran tennis star Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi.Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, with his partner Nina Herrman, of Austria, won the mixed doubles world title for the second year in a row.
The top seeded pair of Pakistan and Austria took the title in a gripping final against Portugal. Aisam-ul-Haq and Aqeel Khan also won their silver medal in the Mixed doubles gold event. Pakistan also made its history by winning the silver medal in the World Team Championship of the men’s 45+ category. Moreover, Aqeel Khan has also won a bronze in the 40+ mixed doubles.
