Repolling Underway at 23 Polling Stations in Bagh Constituencies for AJK Elections
MUZAFFARABAD: The third phase of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) elections, with repolling in 23 polling stations in two constituencies of the Bagh district, has begun.
Election officials say the repolling involves 9 polling stations in LA-15 and 14 polling stations in LA-16. The 14 polling stations in Constituency LA-16 (Bagh 3) have 7004 registered voters and 9 polling stations in LA-15 (Bagh 2) have 5000 registered voters.
The Election Commission has taken stringent security measures for smooth voting where the voters will continue to vote from 8:00 AM till 5:00 PM.
The election was originally delayed in these particular polling stations on August 10, as a result of administrative delays of election officials and some local tensions. The Election Commission of Azad Jammu and Kashmir has prepared its website for the voters to get official updates and authentic information regarding the elections.
