Iran Calls Pakistan a Great Asset of the Islamic World

Iran Terms Pakistan a Great Asset of the Islamic World, Urges Regional Unity

ISLAMABAD: A top Iranian official has praised Pakistan as a valuable asset to the Islamic world and highlighted the Islamic bond and affection between the people of two countries is unique in the world.

These statements were made at a high-level meeting of Pak’s Federal Minister for Interior Mohsen Naqvi with Iran’s Secretary of Sup. Nat. Sec. Council Mohsen Rezaei. In the discussions, Rezaei said Pakistan and Iran were strategic partners and the government, military and citizens of Pakistan were a great asset to the whole Muslim Ummah.

Muslim unity and solidarity within the Muslim world are of paramount importance and the Iranian security official called on the five key regional powers and others – including Pakistan, Iran, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Indonesia – to cooperate closely to face common challenges.

Interior Minister Mohsen Naqvi, on his part, pointed out that diplomatic and bilateral relations between Pakistan and Iran have also improved considerably in recent months with a view to ensuring stability and cooperation in the region.
