Government Announces New Fuel Prices: Petrol Drops, Diesel Cost Rises
ISLAMABAD:The government has announced new prices for petroleum products, which it has said will bring some relief to consumers.
The price of petrol has been cut down by 94 paisa per litre and the new price is now Rs324.98 per litre, the notification issued by the Petroleum Division read. Meanwhile, the high speed diesel cost has been raised by 54 paisas per litre, making the new price of diesel Rs382.79 per litre.The new rates, calculated by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), are in effect from tonight and will run for 24 hours.
