9th Pakistan-Belarus Joint Ministerial Commission Held in Islamabad

The 9th session of Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC) on Trade and Economic Cooperation between Pakistan and Belarus is underway in Islamabad.

A high level Belarusian delegation led by the country’s Minister of Energy Dzianis Maroz has come to the capital to join the talks. Prior to the main ministerial meeting, a technical meeting of the JMC was held, which discussed in detail the enhancement of bilateral cooperation in different fields, such as trade, industry, agriculture, banking, labour, transport and information technology. Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan and Belarusian Minister of Energy Dzianis Maroz are co-chairing the ministerial session.

The proceedings include formal ministerial speeches and in-depth bilateral discussions to tap into the bilateral economic potential. The high-level session will culminate in the formal signing of the JMC Protocol and a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to further strengthen institutional relations between the two countries.
