Badin : Meezan Bank, Pakistan’s Premier Islamic Bank, has joined a joint corporate social responsibility initiative with Rotary Club of Karachi and Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) to facilitate an inauguration of a state of the art Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water Filtration Plant at Tando Ghulam Ali, off Badin in Sindh.

The project is a collaborative effort between the local community and the government to tackle the challenge of having reliable access to clean, safe and purified drinking water to alleviate acute water scarcity in the local area. The project reflects the institutions’ continued efforts to promote sustainable community development and improve the quality of life for those populations that are not served.

Some of the major highlights of the RO Water Filtration Plant initiative are listed below:
Safe Drinking Water: The filtration plant will be operational, providing the local community of Tando Ghulam Ali with access to safe drinking water and helping to reduce the risk of waterborne diseases.

The establishment of the facility through the collaboration of Pakistan’s leading Islamic bank (Meezan Bank), civic welfare organizations (Rotary Club of Karachi), and premier energy exploration enterprises (OGDCL) reflects a strong synergy in these alliances.

Commitment to Sustainable Development: Partnering organizations once again pledged to continue community uplift projects and infrastructure in rural and semi-urban areas of Sindh.
