190 Million Pound Case: Islamabad High Court Fixes Appeals of Imran Khan and Bushri Bibi for Hearing on November 10; Division Bench to Hear Proceedings
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court has officially scheduled appeals filed by the party leader of Pakistan Tehreek-Insafiya Imran Khan and his wife Bushri Bibi against their conviction in the 190 million pound NAB reference for November 10.
The hearing will be conducted by a division bench of Chief Justice Sarfraz Dogar and Justice Muhammad Asif. The court has given the final chance to their lawyers, Barrister Salman Safdar, to begin with final arguments in the next sitting.

Prior to that, defense counsel had contended they were prohibited from visiting their clients in jail and thus were denied final instructions on which to base the appeals. Barrister Salman Safdar has now met with both the accused individuals in jail and that objection is now completely addressed.
The division bench presided over by Chief Justice Sarfraz Dogar will hear the merits of the case while the defence is likely to present its last submissions on November 10.
The high-profile case is the one relating to the settlement of £190 million by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) against the leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
