4.8 Magnitude Earthquake Shakes Zhob, Chaman and Surrounding Regions of Balochistan
QUETTA: The earthquake of magnitude 4.8 on Richter scale shook the districts of Zhob and Chaman and the nearby areas of Balochistan and caused brief panic among the local people. The epicentre of the earthquake was 122km north-east of Zhob while its hypocentre was at shallow depth of 15km as per the information of the National Seismic Monitoring Centre. The sudden shocks caused fear and panic among the public, and they rushed out of their homes into open areas while reciting holy verses. So far, no damage to property or casualties have been reported from any part of the affected districts.
