The police reports make it clear that the kidnapping occurred in the village Jeewas under Shaikh Attar’s jurisdiction at the Union Council, Tank. The police have ringed off the area and have initiated a detailed investigation of the incident to find out who is behind it and to rescue the kidnapped staff.

The four frontline health workers have been abducted by armed men and taken away while they were carrying out their national duties in UC Shaikh Attar, leading to an urgent security exercise in the district.
Governor KP’s Condemnation: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi strongly condemned the abduction and called it an extremely “tragic and deplorable act. He noted that polio workers were doing a critical national service to give children a healthy future and attacking them is attacking humanity and the country’s interest.
Governor Kundi asked the administrative and security authorities to take immediate and effective measures for the safe and unhindered recovery of polio workers kidnapped, adding that the provision of foolproof security and protection for the vaccination teams is one of the main duties of the State.
