China-Pakistan Information Corridor Formally Launched in Islamabad to Boost Media Cooperation and Information Exchange; Federal Minister Atta Tarar Stresses Corridor Will Serve as a Bridge Connecting Hearts and Minds
ISLAMABAD: Within the framework of continuous celebration of the golden jubilee of establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China the Information Corridor (China-Pakistan) has been formally inaugurated in Islamabad.
Attaullah Tarar, the Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning, and other top-notch officials from both countries attended the inauguration ceremony.
Key Highlights of the China-Pakistan Information Corridor Launch in Islamabad
Core Objectives of the Corridor: The newly established Information Corridor is designed to facilitate strong cooperation between both countries in the media sector, increase the flow of information between the countries, and work together to combat fake news and false narratives.
In his speech, Federal Minister Attaullah Tarar informed the audience that the corridor will serve as a bridge between the hearts and minds of the people of Pakistan and China. He said every test of time has strengthened the ironclad brotherhood between the two countries and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has become the backbone of Pakistan’s economy while the new information initiative has become a “corridor of truth” for Pakistan.
Chinese Ambassador’s Remarks: Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong congratulated both countries on the launch and said that he is confident that it will help to boost information exchange, increase understanding of the exchange of cultural and traditional values and effectively combat the dissemination of information about China and its relations that is false or misleading or contains negative elements.
