ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has vehemently denied in a statement that the party’s core committee and political committee have been made redundant or that they have been sidelined.
On the party affairs, Barrister Gohar clarified that the rumours about transfer of all major decision making powers to the parliamentary party is utterly groundless and against the facts.

PTI’s core committee, political committee and parliamentary party function as three separate, independent forums, explained Barrister Gohar. Parliamentary party is responsible for legislative and parliamentary work while party organizational work is handled by core committees and political committees.
Role of Parliamentary Party: Respecting Lawmakers, PTI Chairman mentioned that the parliamentary party is treated with high regard and all of its suggestions and recommendations are taken seriously, and that due to it, suggestions were put forward before core and political committees for formal consideration.
Ultimate Authority: Barrister Gohar reiterated that party’s founding chairman Imran Khan has the final say on all major decisions of the policy as he has delegated authority to respective committees as per his instructions.
