RAWALPINDI: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces (COAS & CDF) has announced that the state, with the constant backing of Pakistani people, will not tolerate the terrorists and their warped ideology and will punish them in the most timely and firm manner, no matter where they may be.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said Field Marshal Asim Munir had been provided with an extensive operational update on the current security scenario in the province, current counter-terrorism operations, border management arrangements and frontline troops deployment readiness during his visit to Field Marshal Munir’s Peshawar Corps Headquarters.

The Army Chief congratulated the officers and soldiers for their high morale, dedication and professionalism, urging them to remain extremely vigilant at all times and be always in peak operational readiness to deal the emerging threats effectively.
Tribute to Martyrs: Field Marshal Asim Munir paid rich tributes to the supreme sacrifices made by martyrs, ghazis from the security forces and the resilient people of Pakistan. He again said that the country will never forget their blood and service.
The Chief of Defence Forces made it clear that foreign-sponsored terrorist groups will be dealt a stern blow with campaigns against them “to be continued” with the same zeal, stating that terrorists will be “hunted down and targeted with due rigor on all fronts.”
