US President Donald Trump Hints at Further Military Actions Against Iran, Declaring Conflict Should Have Been Fought Years Ago; Accuses Tehran of Fabricating Strait of Hormuz Threats

WASHINGTON: President of the United States Donald Trump has strongly suggested he will launch additional military strikes against Iran, saying that the country has already suffered “significant economic and strategic damage.”

In a conversation with the media, President Trump said that “there is a possibility of further military action against Tehran” but that “this conflict is a war that other presidents should have fought a long time ago. On another social media update, Trump stated Iran was trying to “manufacture” false claims about attacks and sea-mines in the vital Strait of Hormuz to push up global oil prices in advance of the upcoming mid-term elections in the United States.

Here are some of the highlights of U.S. President Donald Trump’s comments on Iran.
In an Iowa address, President Trump took a hard line stance on how the war would end, saying, “I don’t care how the war ends, it will end very quickly.

Oil Manipulation: Trump said that Iranian leaders seek to manipulate energy markets and American domestic politics by orchestrating provocations and creating tales of maritime sabotage in the region.

The new comments come amid rising tensions in the region and heightened concerns about Iranian nuclear ambitions, as well as several naval skirmishes in the Persian Gulf and more indirect threats to Iranian energy infrastructure in the region, which have intensified diplomatic tensions between Washington and Tehran.
