Strait of Hormuz Will Be Opened Within Six Days if the United States Fulfills Our Conditions; Never Bowing to Threats, States Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi
TEHRAN: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has announced that Tehran has officially outlined a seven-day roadmap for the United States, saying that the crucial Strait of Hormuz can be reopened if the U.S. meets Iran’s conditions.
In his meeting with media correspondents in Baghdad, Araghchi said some objections had been raised by the American officials and suggestions were made that Tehran was considering. He also stressed that if the U.S. shows seriousness, the way forward to reopening the strategic waterway is evident, saying the Strait will be reopened on the sixth day, followed by the start of formal talks on the seventh day.
