The Railway authorities announced that operations on the railways connecting Balochistan to other provinces have been suspended for a day due to security concerns.
The railway management has informed that the Jaffar Express train running between Quetta and Peshawar is not running today. In the meantime, the inbound Jaffar Express from Peshawar to Quetta has been stopped at Jacobabad as a precautionary measure.
The temporary suspension was put in place after security assessments to ensure the safety of passengers and crew, according to railway sources. The authorities are closely watching the situation and said train services will be resumed as soon as security conditions improve.
