Prime Minister Has Inflicted a Deep Wound on Us; I Completely Reject Allegations of Backing Terrorism, States PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has strongly denied all allegations brought against his party and linking it to militancy, stating that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf was not responsible for supporting militancy, and that any politician could throw any allegation, but not the PTI.

In his speech delivered before a joint session of Parliament headed by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Ayaz Sadiq, Barrister Gohar had a stinging criticism for the Federal Government, saying the government had undermined the concept of national federation for political convenience.

The Joint Parliament Address of Barrister Gohar Ali Khan included some key highlights.
Rejection of Terror Allegations: Rejecting any insinuations that can be thrown at the party, Gohar said that they could be anything but could not back terrorism. He also called on the prime minister to immediately withdraw the allegations as they have serious international ramifications.

Reaffirming the party’s allegiance to Pakistan’s national security, the PTI’s Chairman said the Pakistan Army belongs to the country and whatever happens to them is happening for the country and therefore they must be condemned for all forms of terrorism.

Outright Rejection of Emergency Rule: Expressing concern over administrative takeover in KP, Gohar stated that the government had abolished the province based on fear of holding political gatherings and officially opposed to emergency or Governor’s Rule.
