Three Wanted Terrorists Neutralized in Joint CTD and Police Intelligence-Based Operation in Swat; Firearms and Maps Recovered
SWAT: In a joint intelligence-based operation, Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and district police successfully neutralized three wanted terrorists in Swat district.
The officials of the CTD said that the police action was aimed at the Sakha Dob area under Kanju police station. When the police approached them, the militants started shooting wild, and the police retaliated with accurate shots.
The Swat Operation and Recoveries had the following key highlights:
Security forces searched the compound and found the bodies of three militants—Abdullah, Mansoor and Ghufran all local residents of Swat.
Armed with a lot of ammunition, a map of the Shukardara police station and a classified diary, police recovered a large amount of weaponry and tactical materials from the possession of the slain terrorists.
As many as three militants were killed on the spot while two of their associates took advantage of the terrain and escaped. A big search effort is happening throughout the surrounding area to locate and catch the suspects on the run.
