Iran Threatens to Sink US Warships in the Middle East and Begins Securing Nuclear Sites Amid Fears of Potential American Military Strikes

TEHRAN : Iran has threatened to “aggressive counteractions” to target and sink American warships in response to another round of fighting in the region, in a new escalation of regional tensions.

The Wall Street Journal reported in detail that Tehran has also taken drastic steps to guarantee and reinforce its vulnerable nuclear sites in preparation for a potential U.S. military action, stepping up the security of its border areas and strategic locations.

The key highlights of the regional escalation and Iranian security measures involved in this situation are as follows:
Nuclear and Sensitive Sites Protection: According to intelligence and media reports, Iran has been building protected earthen terrains and defense embankments in nuclear and sensitive sites over the last month to safeguard against possible aerial and surface attacks on sensitive sites such as those around Jabal al-Fahs and Natanz.

As the Wall Street Journal reported quoting officials from the region, Tehran has alerted intermediaries to its more vicious use of asymmetric weapons if it finds itself in another stand-off with regional powers.

Strategic Posture: Iranian forces are not looking for a “war,” but if they are attacked by U.S. forces, they will respond with a “full and complete” regional response to eliminate U.S. interests in adjacent waters and waterways.
