Pakistan’s Total Liquid Foreign Reserves Rise by $26.75 Million to Reach $26.79 Billion, States Central Bank

KARACHI: The country’s liquid foreign exchange reserves kept on a positive ascent with positive addition during the week that ended on October 2.On the foreign exchange front, the overall liquid foreign reserves of the country increased by $26.75 million to reach $26.79 billion, official data of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) showed.

SBR Reserves Growth: The foreign exchange reserves of the central bank rose by $14.5 million to $15 million, bringing the total reserves to $21.45 billion.

Commercial Banks’ Position: The net foreign reserves held by commercial banks also showed a rising trend, rising by $1.2 million to a strong $5.34 billion. Foreign Exchange Environment: Stability in FX environment is reinforced by steady inflows and financial reviews as indicated by the continuous week-on-week expansion.
