KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi Announces Revised Route and Schedule for PTI Long March; Caravans to Head Toward Swabi by October 11

ISLAMABAD: A major political development in the ongoing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest movement that the Chief Minister of KP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has finally settled and published a new plan for the next phase of the long march.

Under the revised plan, the Chief Minister will hold several public speeches in Peshawar, where he will stand shoulder to shoulder with workers and citizens, to lead the protest movement before the main caravan moves towards Swabi on 11 Oct.

Updated Daily Schedule:

October 8 (Today): CM Sohail Afridi will be holding several public meetings in Peshawar and will be spending the night in the province’s capital.

October 9 (Tomorrow): The march-goers will head towards the Charsadda where they will hold rallies and spend the night there.

October 10: The caravan will proceed towards Mardan where local meetings will be organized and an overnight stay is planned in the district.

11 October: All converging caravans will proceed to Swabi on the next day for an overnight stop to hear the next step in the protest movement from the Chief Minister.

Mobilisation Directives: PTI Provincial General Secretary Ali Asghar has issued strict guidelines for all district organizations, all elected lawmakers and PTI workers to hold well-organized receptions and to ensure maximum outreach in the revised route.
