National Registration Exam (NRE) Postponed Due to PTI Long March; Public Notice Issued Regarding New Schedule
PESHAWAR: The National Registration Exam (NRE) for medical graduates which was initially scheduled for October 11 has been officially postponed owing to disruption caused by the ongoing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) long march.
The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has changed the date for NRE Step-One exam from October 11 to November 8 for foreign medical graduates. In a formal public notice, the council said that the exam has been rescheduled owing to unavoidable administrative and logistical circumstances.

NRE Rescheduling: The students availed medical education from outside India had to clear the mandatory licensing and registration exam, which is now rescheduled by almost 4 weeks to ensure mobility of the candidates during the widespread closure of roads and political demonstrations.
In another development, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Peshawar postponed all matriculation supplementary second term examination papers which were to be held from October 7 to 10.
The controller of examinations for the Peshawar board assured that new dates for deferred papers will be announced in the future and examinations after October 10 will be held as arranged in the earlier issued exam schedule.
