Five Individuals Martyred in Twin Terrorist Incidents in Dera Ismail Khan; Search Operation Launched to Apprehend Attackers
DERA ISMAIL KHAN: In two incidents of targeted terrorism, five people including two officials of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and a traffic policeman laid down their lives in Dera Ismail Khan.
The first tragedy happened near the Qureshi Mor Abhaya bridge, where unidentified armed terrorists indiscriminately fired their gun, killing four persons on the spot, among them two FBR personnel, local police said. The shooter was able to get away after the shooting. Authorities blocked off the scene, collected important crime scene evidence and began a comprehensive investigation.

The tragedy of the first attack near Qureshi Mor claimed the lives of four people, two of whom were FBR officials and two civilians, triggering an increase in security in the district.
Second Assault on Traffic Police: In another assault which occurred close to the city bypass, traffic police officers on duty were targeted. One traffic police official was martyred and another was seriously injured.
Post-Twin Attacks Search and Cordon Operations: After the twin attacks, police and security forces commenced door-to-door search and clearance operations in the surrounding areas to find and arrest any persons who might have been involved in the attack.
