ISLAMABAD: The final hearing of the high-profile Judicial Complex attack case will see the appearance of the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) before an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Islamabad, which has issued the call.

ATC Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra presided over the hearing, directing the presentation of either the PTI Founder in person or through video-link. Moreover, the court officially named senior PTI leaders Farrukh Habib, Hammad Azhar, Murad Saeed and Shibli Faraz as proclaimed offenders for their continuous non-appearance in court and demanded the complete details of their movable and immovable assets.

In this section, the authors highlight the most significant aspects of the ATC Proceedings and provide a brief background on the case.
The court issued non-bailable arrest warrants against former Deputy Speaker of the Punjab Assembly, Wasiq Qayyum, and the PTI’s Hassan Niazi, adding to legal pressure on the party members who have fled from the country.

The police claim a violent ruckus and vandalism took place at the Judicial Complex and this case has been registered at the Ramna Police Station against the PTI leadership and workers.

Strict charges have been included in the FIR under anti-terrorism laws and the offenses of interference in state affairs and resistance against the public officials. Police text indicated that the PTI chief came with an angry crowd with leaders yelling provocative slogans and holding guns.
