Long March Will Not Be Permitted to Enter Islamabad; Anarchy Will Be Stopped With Full Legal Force, Warns Rana Sanaullah

ISLAMABAD: PM’s Advisor on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah has given a strong hint that the government will not allow the long march of the opposition to reach the city of Islamabad at any cost and warned of taking the ‘opposition’ to task if it attempts to create a mess.

In response to the ongoing political situation Sanaullah said that holding meetings and providing medical facilities to the PTI founder were petty issues but dialogue could resume when the opposition is ready to cooperate in the war against terror. He said there’s currently no set time for further discussions.

Unauthorised Entry/Disruption in the Federal Capital: Government’s Zero-Tolerance Policy: Sanaullah said the government will use legal and administrative force to ensure that no entry of any sort is ever made into the federal capital without its permission and no disruption is ever allowed in the city.

On the other hand, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan said that political leaderships need to sometimes put their egos aside for the sake of the country. He said although a deadlock did occur mainly on the counter-terrorism issue, politics has no end and the party will continue its endeavours.

Avoiding Extreme Measures: Gohar warned against taking emergency rule or extreme measures under Governor’s in KPK during the long march to alleviate the national crisis, arguing that the long march should not be made provocative to the public.
