Security Forces Eliminate 11 Terrorists in Intelligence-Based Operations Across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan; Interior Minister Praises Troops
ISLAMABAD: Azm-e-Istehkam vision has been achieved through the successful elimination of 11 terrorists in continuous operations and a significant amount of weapons and ammunition was recovered from their hands in KP and Balochistan.
Security sources have said that an intelligence-based operation (IBO) has been carried out in South Waziristan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where 5 militants have been neutralized and terrorist hideouts have been destroyed.
The key highlights of the counter-terrorism operations are as follows:
Balochistan: Operations against hostile elements conducted by security forces against the backdrop of Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3 and Azm-e-Istehkam in Balochistan in the areas of Gwandar and Mashkel. Security forces responded quickly to the attack in Mashkel, where terrorists fired on a security checkpost and tried to escape, by killing six militants who took to the streets.
Recovered and Casualties: During the operations heavy material and man casualties were inflicted on the terrorist networks with security forces recovering significant amounts of arms, explosives and ammunition from the neutralized fighters.
Interior Minister’s Commendation: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid rich tribute to the security forces for their successful and professional operations in both the provinces. Highlighting the courageous efforts of the officers and men, Naqvi said the entire nation is at their side and they will fight the terror menace with their whole heart and soul and it will be completely eliminated.
