Hafeezullah Niazi Rules Out Governor’s Rule in KP, Stresses Grand Dialogue Between Political and Military Leadership

No Strong Likelihood of Governor’s Rule or Constitutional Action in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Says Senior Analyst Hafeezullah Niazi

ISLAMABAD: Senior political analyst and columnist Hafeezullah Niazi has asserted that there is no strong probability of the federal government implementing Governor’s Rule or taking extreme constitutional steps in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, noting that the ruling administration’s track record shows a tendency to contemplate measures without executing them.

Expressing his views during a media discussion, Niazi emphasized that the core friction in the country is not merely a federal-provincial dispute between Islamabad and KP, but rather an ongoing standoff between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the military establishment.
