PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan Rejects Long March Postponement; Warns Against Unconstitutional Moves in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
ISLAMABAD: In a decisive statement, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has confirmed that there is no scope for delay in the party’s long march, and they will not seek the imposition of the emergency rule nor the dissolution of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial assembly.
In the corridors of Parliament, Barrister Gohar warned that any unconstitutional move or authoritarian action in KP will make the situation even more volatile, and lead to new crises for the Federal Government.

Reaffirming the Long March: Reaffirming the party’s roadmap, Gohar said the long march on October 4 will go ahead as scheduled with the showcasing of the PTI’s peaceful demonstrations remaining untouched.
PTI Chairman Advises Against Non-Democratic Actions: Cautioning against any move that can go against the boundaries of the constitution and the use of the emergency rule, the PTI chairman said: “Any attempt to impose emergency rule or move beyond constitutional limits will be resisted with force.”
Protest over Assembly dissolution dismissed: Gohar reiterated that the issue of dissolving the provincial assembly has not been in focus, while noting that the current assembly has a legitimate and genuine mandate of its founding leader, Imran Khan, and should be respected.
