We Will Achieve Victory in Iran Conflict One Way or Another, States US President Donald Trump Amid Major Developments
WASHINGTON: Washington will prevail in the stand-off with Iran by any means necessary and will see big geopolitical changes in the coming days regarding Tehran, United States President Donald Trump has said.
President Trump announced that Iran’s economy is in dire straits with “historic levels of inflation” and that its “conventional military forces, navy, and air force are all substantially reduced.
In his speech, President Trump highlighted some of the main points.
Control Over the Strait of Hormuz: Trump stressed that the United States has “full operational control” of the Strait of Hormuz and said that a significant amount of oil is being shipped through the vital waterway at “record-high” levels.
The US fully withdrew the last of its troops from Iraq: The event marked the full withdrawal of the last American military personnel from Iraq, marking what Trump termed a “monumental day for the US” and a “huge win against ISIS. He said that the withdrawal from Iraq was organized and well-equipped, whereas the withdrawal from Afghanistan was chaotic this year, and remembered the casualties of the withdrawal from Afghanistan this year.
The US President, reiterating his tough stance, said that major strategic developments with regard to Iran’s posture would be seen by the world in a few days.
