Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Invites International Financial Institutions to Leverage Investment Opportunities in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, for the first time, inaugurated a trading session at the London Stock Exchange (LSE) in the presence of the LSE chairman.

The Prime Minister during his historic visit attended several high-level meetings with top business leaders, international investors, and senior officials of major financial institutions, where he discussed Pakistan’s encouraging economic trajectory and the government’s extensive structural reform efforts.

Highlighting Investment Potential: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, at the LSE, acknowledged a vast opportunity set for investments across Pakistan’s major economic sectors for international financial stakeholders.

Institutionalization of Economic Reforms: The Prime Minister noted that the Government is working diligently for the implementation of strong economic reforms and investor friendly policies to optimize business procedures, promote industrial growth and create a transparent business environment for foreign direct investment.

Facilitating Global Partnerships: The prime minister urged global financial institutions to tap into the emerging market potential of Pakistan and join in sustainable development of the country highlighting incentives they can avail to participate in the country’s development process.
