Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Arrives in London Following Five-Day United States Visit for Medical Check-Up
LONDON : High-level official visit of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to the UK has concluded successfully in the British capital London. The Prime Minister’s air plane touched down at London’s Luton Airport where he was greeted by the Pakistan High Commissioner to the UK, Tipu Usman. Official sources say PM Shehbaz will have a short two-day visit to London:
The Prime Minister will be engaged in medical examinations and health screening and have to undergo routine health check-ups that are required in the British capital. Post brief medical stopover, Prime Minister will be heading to Islamabad.
After visiting New York for the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) 81st Session, Prime Minister Shehbaz’s arrival in London comes after an intensive diplomatic visit.
The Prime Minister’s address during the UNGA session was strong and striking as it mentioned several important issues in the national security sectors, the sanctity of Haramain Sharifain, the Makkah Joint Defense Agreement and a firm warning about water issues and regional terrorism. He also had substantial side meetings with key global leaders such as UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and regional heads of state.
