Proposed Blueprint for PTI’s September 27 Long March Emerges, Suggesting Weeks-Long Demonstrations and Staged Convoys
ISLAMABAD : The blueprint and strategic plan for the proposed long march by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the Tehreek-e-Tahafuz-e-Aaeen-Pakistan (TTAP) on Sept 27 have also surfaced, as political tensions are heating up ahead of opposition movements.
Well-placed political sources say that the long march should not be limited to a few days’ demonstration but be continued as a long campaign which can go on for several weeks.

Diverse Convoys: Not only will heavy vehicles and motorcycles be part of the march but organized contingents of pedestrians will be coming from all over the country.
Staged Arrivals: It has been suggested that rather than trying to storm Islamabad, incoming provincial convoys should stage and wait as one outside the city’s limits.
All Parties Conference (APC): Organizers have proposed a large scale all parties political conference as part of the campaign to develop a greater opposition consensus.
Core Demands and Final Decision-Making
The main targets of the planned long march will be the release of political prisoners, the reduction of the high rate of inflation and the immediate withdrawal of petroleum product prices.
According to the sources, the final decision of the strategy, route and tactical aspects of the long march will be personally approved by the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province Sohail Afridi and an official announcement is to be made tomorrow.
