No Deserving Citizen Should Be Deprived of Fuel Relief Due to Lack of Awareness or Digital Difficulties, Emphasizes Hamza Shehbaz
LAHORE: Former Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz has emphasized that there is no need to create a hole in the middle of the badly hit families on the grounds of lack of information or technological hurdles as the actual objective of the welfare relief is to reach the beneficiaries at their doorsteps.
Hamza Shehbaz pointed out that the Special Relief Scheme, implemented by the Prime Minister, has already achieved a significant milestone with over 2.8 million registrations and more than 1.5 million people benefiting so far. He said that the government should be active in going to touch those citizens who are vulnerable to the digital system and are unable to do so on their own and the fuel relief program is an example of being side by side with the people in difficult economic times.

The Prime Minister has given clear instructions to expand the initiative further and simplify its working, it was noted during the session.
Hamza Shehbaz emphasized that in-depth monitoring for daily IT and data needs must be ensured from the registration process to the issuance of the token and the redemption of relief. Ultimately, he said, the program will be further adapted to reach more people in need in the days to come, based on direct public feedback and suggestions.
