Effective Operations Conducted Against Terrorist Hideouts in Pak-Afghan Border Regions, 37 Khwarij Eliminated, States Ministry of Information
ISLAMABAD : Security forces, according to the Federal Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, have targeted key terror hideouts and training camps with precise intelligence-based operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and Pak-Afghan border areas, coming across a total of 37 terror personnel and handing them a death sentence.
In an official statement issued by the ministry, operations were conducted in the border areas adjacent to Afghanistan, where three major terrorist hideouts, including a suicide bombers’ training center (Markaz), were precisely targeted and destroyed. Meanwhile, the ministry revealed that 28 terrorists had been eliminated in the border operations and big cache of arms, ammunition and explosive materials found inside the compounds.
In the aftermath of recent terrorism incidents in KPK, security forces managed to conduct a successful intelligence-based ground operation in Kohat and Hangu, resulting in 9 Khwarij deaths and several others being injured. The Ministry of Information reiterated that Pakistan has always been committed to promote peace and stability in the region, however, the safety and security of its citizens is of paramount concern.The Ministry of Information highlighted that Pakistan has always worked towards peace and stability in the region but its foremost concern is the safety and security of its citizens.
The statement pointed out that the main danger terrorist activities still originate from Afghanistan, and that these very actions were effective in hitting the terror hubs, while guaranteeing maximum precautions to prevent any collateral damage.
The communiqué ended with the strong commitment to persist with the relentless war against foreign sponsored and supported terrorism, Operation Ghazab lil Haq, under the banner of Azm-e-Istehkam, until complete eradication of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism in the country.
