PTI Leader Shakil Khan Named in FIR After Guards Open Fire on Levies Personnel in Malakand Following Junaid Akbar’s Threats to Islamabad
PESHAWAR: In the wake of political threats that escalated to violence, the so-called “severe action” against those accused of corruption, in the capital, has reportedly started in the field.
During the presence of PTI Member of the Provincial Assembly Shakil Khan, his security officials allegedly opened direct fire on Levies personnel, inflicting injury on two security officials in Malakand. There have also been videos of the shooting that show the violence that occurred.
FIR Registered and Legal Proceedings initiated.
Official sources say they have registered a formal criminal case against Khan and several other accomplices over the gun shooting. Authorities have decided to take immediate action, promising charges and a severe punishment, against those who targeted state law enforcement personnel.
The incident comes after a series of provocative speeches made by PTI Provincial President Junaid Akbar who had openly threatened to make Islamabad “Somnath” before the planned demonstrations on September 27.
