If Levy Is Not Abolished, Protest Will Turn Into a Government-Toppling Movement,” Warns JI Emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman
KARACHI: Federal government has only one option left: to remove the petroleum levy at once, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has warned the government.
Jamaat-e-Islami’s protest would end if the levy is withdrawn completely, but if it is not withdrawn, the agitation would turn into a full-fledged movement to change the government, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman told the media from the Karachi Cantonment Station.
Go-Guy, 250 Million Citizens’ Agony is not his worry of the Government, but the Long March.
In his criticism of the government’s set up, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman pointed out that the government was so worried about the Jamaat-e-Islami’s long march that it could not even look at the atrocities committed against the 250 million people of Pakistan on a daily basis.
Unless the government provides tangible relief to the masses, Jamaat-e-Islami will push its protest movement ahead with no hesitation, he warned.
