By-Election for NA-77 Gujranwala Set for November 8, Election Commission Releases Official Electoral Schedule
ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has finally issued the election schedule for the NA-77 Gujranwala constituency, which is a vacant seat due to the tragic death of MNA Chaudhry Mahmood Bashir Virk.
Polling for the by-election to the constituency will be held on 8 November, the Election Watchdog has stated in a formal notification.
The following are the key electoral timelines and deadlines.
According to the released schedule, any interested applicant may submit his/her nomination papers from 28th September to 30th September. The short list of candidates will be announced on October 1 and scrutiny of the nomination papers will be finished by October 5.
In addition, the symbol will be officially allocated to the candidates of the contest on October 19.
