Petrol Price Reduced Slightly While High-Speed Diesel Becomes More Expensive, New Rates Take Effect

ISLAMABAD:The federal government has announced a slight reduction in the price of petrol, while the cost of high-speed diesel has registered a further increase under the latest petroleum pricing adjustments.

According to the notification issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), the price of petrol has been decreased by Re0.43 per litre, bringing its new fixed rate to Rs390.79 per litre.

Conversely, the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has been increased by Rs3.47 per litre, elevating its new consumer price to Rs424.92 per litre.

Effective Date and Pricing MechanismOGRA confirmed that the revised petroleum product prices have officially come into effect for September 18. Financial analysts note that these frequent adjustments reflect ongoing volatility in international oil markets and shifts in the daily pricing mechanism.
