Iranian Revolutionary Guard Claims Downing of Another US Drone Over Strait of Hormuz as Explosions Rock Sirik

TEHRAN: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has confirmed it downed another drone from the United States military in airspace in the region.

An advanced MQ-1 Predator drone was intercepted and targeted early this morning by Iranian forces after allegedly breaching Iranian territorial airspace over the strategic Strait of Hormuz, military statements by Iranian forces released to the public said. The military also pointed out that Iranian air defense forces have in the past intercepted and neutralized a number of foreign UAS.

Scattered reports of explosions in coastal town of Sirik
In the meantime, with rising military tensions between the Washington and Tehran, the sound of several strong explosions was once again heard in the southern Iranian coastal city of Sirik.

The immediate cause of the blasts in Sirik has not been confirmed, but it has been a target of multiple military attacks and US aerial activity in recent days.
