Security Forces and CTD Eliminate Nine Terrorists, Including Two Key Commanders, in Successive Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Operations
KURRAM: Security forces and the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) have killed nine terrorists, including two prominent commanders, in two intelligence-led operations in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
On September 8, security forces carried out an effective intelligence-based operation in Kurram district, according to security sources. Four militants linked to the proscribed group ‘Fitna al-Khawarij’ and a central Afghan national commander, Ubaidullah Saad, were killed in the operation.

Security officials stated that the slain commander, Ubaidullah Saad, who hailed from Shahi Qila village in Afghanistan’s Logar province, and was the son of Ghulam Ghaus Salehi, was directly involved in carrying out several prominent terrorist attacks in Pakistan in collaboration with three of his liquidated associates.
CTD Operation in Peshawar
In another anti-terrorism operation, the Counter-Terrorism Department targeted a terror camp in the Shamsto area of Armar (Peshawar) and killed five more terrorists who were linked to the banned network.
The CTD spokesperson said that the high-value commander Imran (Abdullah) was also killed. It was found that the compound contained a significant amount of weapons and ammunition, such as submachineguns (SMGs), handguns and hand-made improvised explosive devices (IEDs), indicating that there were planned coordinated bombings at other strategic sites.
The authorities confirmed that the neutralized commander Imran was widely wanted in the various terror cases, target killings and explosions in Islamabad and other areas including the Tarlai attack case. The authorities had issued a huge bounty on his head of Rs12 million.
