Saudi Ministry of Defense Announces Completion of Preparatory Stages for Maritime Alliance

Necessary Stages Completed for Joining Maritime Alliance: Saudi Ministry of Defense

RIYADH:Saudi Ministry of Defense (MoD) announced the completion of all the preparatory steps for the integration of liaison officers of member states with the maritime alliance.

The Saudi Ministry of Defense (MoD) called for a gradual deployment of remaining officers based on the quotas predetermined, following the official entry of the alliance into the phase of active operations and joint defense cooperation.

Administrative and Structural Approvals are completed.
All administrative measures were fully realised, including the decision on who is in charge of the alliance, the approval of the organisation structure, the headquarters, and the finalisation of the operational systems, the statement said. The main aim of the alliance is to foster joint maritime security and to protect sea-lanes of communication.

Moreover, the coalition is seeking to maintain continuity of global trade and supply chains and to deepen the defence cooperation and capabilities of the member states.
