Iran Warns US Energy Centers and Vital Interests Amid Escalating Regional Tensions
TEHRAN: The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has sharply condemned Washington for any aggression against Iran’s critical infrastructure, warning it will face “severe” counteroffensive.Brigadier General Hossein Mohebbi, spokesman for the IRGC, has warned Washington of “severe” counteroffensive to any aggression against Iran’s critical infrastructure.
In a televised speech, Gen. Mohebbi rejected any predictions about Iran’s military power, pointing out that the manufacturing of precision-guided missiles is not halted. If Washington were to make good on its threats to attack Iranian facilities, it will be hit strategically at energy hubs and at critical American interests, he added. Strait of Hormuz Deterrence and Control The IRGC ship spokesman also highlighted the serious repercussions of military action, saying Iran’s defense capabilities are in full force. Moreover, Mohebbi said, any effort by the U.S. to completely reopen or control the Strait of Hormuz in American terms will succeed only in the long run. Mohebbi said Tehran is always at combat readiness.
