FIA Sub-Inspector Martyred in Firing Incident at Sports Ground in Karak
KARAK: A person belonging to intelligence and law enforcement has been killed and one other person has suffered serious injuries after being caught in a sudden shooting at a local sports ground in Karak district of KP.
As soon as the armed gunmen reached the ground, they opened up indiscriminate fire and on spot the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Sub-Inspector Hamad met his fate, rescue authorities said. The injured rescue worker was immediately taken to a nearby local hospital for medical and legal treatment, as was the body of the martyred official.
Police Search Operation is running.
Meanwhile police and local authorities confirmed that a wide search and clearance exercise has been initiated in the surrounding area in search of the fleeing perpetrators. A search is ongoing to catch the perpetrators of the attack.
