Military Strategy Shifted, US Aggression Will Meet a Broader Response: Iranian Military
TEHRAN: Iranian military spokesman Mohammad Akraminia has said the country’s official military doctrine has also shifted from a defensive to a proactive and aggressive approach, which was evident in recent wars with speedy response and pre-emptive measures.

Increasing Deterrence and Local Defense Production
The Iranian military spokesperson also underscored that the country’s future responses to any hostile action will be larger in scope and scale than initial ones, as this is an offensive military doctrine involving instant and broad counter-measures. A former commander at Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, Ali Abdollahi, also acknowledged the change in the military’s operational stance towards a more aggressive approach.
In the meantime, Iran’s military equipment manufacturer industry has doubled in one year, according to Reza Talaei-Nik, the spokesman of Iranian Ministry of Defense. In the face of certain recent regional escalations to which strikes were targeted against defense manufacturing sectors, localized production effectively continued without interruption and uninterrupted supply chains. In the pre-revolution era, Iran produced 31 basic defense products, but today it has more than a thousand advanced defense products and production has tripled for some types of tactical products due to security concerns, Talaei-Nik added.
